handmade card

I made this card for my stamp club this month,I use an already made card that I purchased and added elements,we where to follow a sketch and so I punched out the green circle,applied ink,cut out a strip in blue used a backround square stamp inked in purple and used sm.clear stamps,added a metal paperclip to the corner and on the back where the card co. had stamped their name I made a square from the same green cs and add my personal stamp. This can be done with any store bought card. Have fun with embellishing it your way!

Lace Basket

This lace basket is a design from Switzerland,It is made in 9 panels and 1 bottom panel,they are sewn seperately and then zig-zaged together,there is also another bottom piece that you use to make it into a doily instead of a basket. It measures about 8" across the top and about 3" high. I set a plastic bowl inside it and fill it with candy to set on my table.

FRIENDSHIP

I,ve been having some troubles in my daily life recently and have found that I have a new kind of friendship. We have the friendships from childhood or someone that we have so much in common with that we enjoy just being around them,someone we can tell everything too, someone who knows us and what makes us sad or happy,someone to be there for you know matter what,but I just found out another kind.Someone who you have never seen in person and have know idea what their live is all about,yet they can be your friend and help you thru things as if they have known you all your life.The reason: We all have felt pain,saddness,heartbreak and lonelyness.So then when you tell someone you are hurting or sad they have felt that and know how you are feeling,so they also feel your pain and saddness,just by saying I'm so sorry that you are going thur this and I will pray that this passes and I am thinking of you,can make the difference between having a very bad day or thinking :I AM NOT ALONE IN THIS. Recently I have experienced this with my NEW online FRIENDS. They don't know me,but I have felt their kindness and love thru their words and caring . This to me is what the word FRIENDSHIP means. Knowing someone's feelings and CARING about what you are going thru,even if you have never met in person.I have this friendship thru my pea's friends,and I am so GRATEFUL.

Richelieu Scarf

Ok,as the name of my blog suggests,I sew too,this is a satin like scarf,bought at Wal-Mart,and I added the roses on by sewing machine.Its embroidery and this design has cut work in it. the white lines have the fabric cut out between them.This is all done on the sewing machine,I do change the thread color and removed the hoop from the machine to cut out the spaces between the lines. My sewing machine is a Husqvarna Viking and I love it. I like doing the embroidery work but I also piece quilt and do garment sewing as well as altering. Not all of my embroidery work is this big,and I have a huge variety of desings.

My little Sweetheart: TRESSA

My little Tressie Ann,born : 7-24-03 she is a sweet little girl, I got tressa after greiving for 2yrs over the loss of my 13yr old Schnauzer Princess,I did not think I could ever give my heart to another pet,but the only way to heal was to give my love to another,so I went searching for a good breeder,Schnauzer's have alot of health problems and I didn't want to go thru this illness (bladder) again.When I seen Tressa the first time she was only a wk old and weighed 6oz. she was the runt and only girl of 5 puppies. I held her up to my face and she grabbed my nose in her little mouth,LOVE AT FIRST SITE, it was hard to wait the 6weeks to bring her home,I called every wk to ask about her and then we drove the 2hr drive to bring her home we took Ty (grandson) with,he wanted to bring all the puppies at the kennel home,so we stayed for awhile and played with them . As you can tell this was a special day in my life not only because of Tressa but I had a wonderful day with TY and DH,it was also our anniversary.
